Ramp Up MC Completes 7th Project of the 2019 Season

As summer winds down Ramp Up Marathon County volunteers completed the seventh project of the 2019 build season. The cooler temperatures were welcomed by the crew as they completed the project for a Ramp Up MC recipient on Wausau's west side. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked on the project and to all those behind the scene that facilitate and design each Ramp Up Build.

Ramp Up MC Completes 2 Ramp Projects this Past Week.

Summer is moving along quickly and so is the Ramp Up MC build season. Last week Ramp Up Marathon County volunteer crews completed their fifth and sixth ramp projects of the 2019 build season. The first ramp was built for a recipient on Wausau's east side. They then also installed a temporary aluminum ramp for a recipient in the Village of Weston. A big thank you to all who volunteered to complete these projects.

Ramp Up Marathon County Completes 4th Project of 2019 Build Season

Ramp Up MC crews completed their 4th project of 2019 on July 17th in the Eland area of eastern Marathon County.  To save travel time and expenses crews pre-built sections of the project at Habitat for Humanity's parking lot in Weston on Monday. The sections were then transported out to the recipient's residence in the Eland area on Tuesday for installation. Thanks to a large number of Ramp Up MC crew members that volunteered, the project was completed on Wednesday afternoon, one day ahead of schedule.

A big thank you goes out to all who turned out to work on the ramp project in the July heat, and to all of those who work so hard in the background to make it all possible. Their work was sincerely appreciated by the recipient who stated he would have loved to been able to be on the crew.

A big thank you to WSAW, WZAW and WAOW for giving us media coverage,
a big help in creating awareness of Ramp Up MC and how people in need can access our services.
