Our Ramp Up Marathon County crew successfully completed Ramp Project RU104 on August 7. Thanks to a hard working and dedicated team of volunteers, the ramp—located in the Village of Weston—was built in just one day.
Once again a special thanks to everyone who made this possible: the volunteer crew, the design staff, the ADRC, and Habitat for Humanity of Marathon County. Their teamwork and efficiency brought accessibility and independence once again to another community member in need.
Imagine being unable to get in or out of your own home because you can't manage the steps. For far too many people in our community, this is reality—and it often leads to isolation or the need to move prematurely into a nursing home or assisted living facility.
If you know someone facing these challenges, please have them contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin at 1-888-486-9545 and ask to speak with a Resource Specialist to find out if they qualify for a ramp build.
