On April 21, 2015, several individuals involved in Ramp Up Marathon County presented to the 55+ group at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Weston (Wisconsin) about the Ramp Up program and collaborating agencies.
Topics in this presentation included information about eligibility, the screening process for ramp recipients and projects and overviews of broader services provided by the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin and Midstate Independent Living Consultants, Inc., both Ramp Up collaborators. Information was also shared about the building process itself, as well as the need for volunteers and donors.
All materials for Ramp Up Marathon County projects are paid for through donations and grants, and all design and construction is done by qualified volunteers. Ramp Up Marathon County builds ramps for a limited number of people in financial need in Marathon County. The group's goal is to build two to four ramps per building season.
A community partnership building ramps for those in financial need. A Division of Habitat for Humanity® of Wausau.
